it’s a tough job, bein’ three.

i just can’t get enough of baby miles.  he’s scrumptious!  i’ve been lucky enough to photograph him as a newborn, again at four months and most recently at six months.  it’s been so fun to watch him grow!

every summer, i try to take a couple of weeks off from shooting to relax and enjoy the summer and also to catch up on office stuff.  i’m in the middle of a break right now and it feels good to get caught up on all of the stuff that doesn’t seem to get my attention during the rest of the year.  like pulling weeds and putting away laundry.   this past weekend was my first weekend "off" since january and as much as i love hanging out with YOUR families on saturday mornings, it was awesome to hang out with mine! 

last night, we took a long walk and i brought my camera with me hoping to get some nice shots of my littlest one but she was feeling particularly grumpy (teeth coming in) so most of what i got was of my 2 1/2 year old, rachel.

oh my gosh, i have so many fantastically fun images from this family session, i just can’t handle it!  i can’t wait to finish editing so i can post some more but in the meantime, here’s a favorite one of the two boys!  i just love the baby’s super coy little expression!

one of the things i love most about my job is seeing the kids grow up.  i’ve been lucky enough to photograph this gorgeous girl three times now!

i have so so many previews that i want to post and i don’t even know where to start!  i met this great family from indiana on thursday and we almost got rained out!  thankfully, the rain was light and we were able to stay relatively sheltered under the seminary trees.   they’re back home by now but i’m hoping their images will provide great vacation memories!

evening light in the summer can be spectacularly beautiful and the light at this session was no exception.  we started at 5 but i think the most beautifully lit images were taken at the end, at around 7.  i love summertime evening sessions!

it’s been too long since i’ve updated this blog!  you guys are keeping me too busy!  in proofing today, i came across this image which has got to be one of my most favorite images ever.  i just love everything about it!

i’ll be posting more from this session and several others in the next few days!  i hope everyone had a fantastic fourth!
