a leisurely newborn session was a welcome break last week. as much as i love chasing toddlers around, there’s something so soothing about spending time with a fresh little baby and his doting parents. i’m sure i’ll be posting more from this session later, but for now i wanted to post two that caught my eye as i glanced through.
when i saw dad peeking around, i backed up and grabbed this quick shot. i just love it!
a lot of people ask about the collages that i offer. i love using collages as a way to display a series of images that go together to tell a little story! this little one had so much fun jumping on her mommy and daddy’s bed. who can blame her??
wasn’t the weather this weekend just perfect? it was perfect fall weather if you ask me. the majority of my photography is black + white but when the colors outside are as vibrant as they are in the fall, i can’t help but show a lot in color. even though the leaves on these trees were still green for the most part, the warm autumn light cozies up these images.
this first image is sized to print at 10×30 – long and skinny prints are a favorite of mine and are perfect for a small or uniquely shaped space. they make a lovely impact without taking up as much wall space as the traditional 24×30 or 30×40 wall portrait.

last weekend, i spent the morning at the apple orchard with a wonderful family. wish it wouldn’t have been 90 degrees, though!
this maternity session was a gift from the mama-to-be’s husband. how sweet is that? here are just a few – i can’t wait for them to see the rest!
