i’m running out the door to catch a flight, but i wanted to post the winner of this year’s give away contest.  thank you all so much for participating ~ your entries made me laugh, smile and cry.   i’m brainstorming on a way to reward everyone who entered, so watch for an email from me with more details in the next few weeks.

meanwhile, i was incredibly surprised when i saw that FOUR different people nominated the same family.  as far as i know, and as far as the nominated family knows (i already called her to ask!), these four people don’t know each other and didn’t know anyone else would be nominating the family.

this year’s winner is the aldrich family.  i’m looking forward to photographing jake and his family.

i recently had the pleasure of traveling from milwaukee to indiana to photograph the sweetest, sleepiest newborn and his amazing new daddy.  due to his rather eventful entrance into the world and some unforeseen hiccups, we did this session in their hotel room where they’re camping out for the next couple of weeks.  i can now add ‘extended stay hotel room’ to my list of locations

i have had so many fun sessions lately and i promise to get better about posting the images!  before i sign off, let me post a few from a session i did at the beginning of the year.  sweet clara moved to seattle with her family and had to leave her two best friends behind.   to celebrate their friendship, they came in for a fun, fun, fun session so that each girl could have an album of the three of them.
