i first met this awesome family 2 1/2 years ago when there were only four.  they recently visited the studio for updated family photos now that they’ve added little miss stella to the mix

one last batch of images from portrait day!  eron photographed the kiddos on sunday, as i ended up in urgent care on saturday night with a corneal abrasion (i.e. a big scratch on my eyeball).  eron rocks, as you can see:

good morning!  i hope everyone is enjoying their weekends.  i went outside for a bit this morning and was happy to discover some nicer weather than what we’ve had these past few days.  unfortunately my little ellie is sick, so i suspect we’ll spend the day on the couch.  which actually sounds sort of nice.  i can’t be the only mom who secretly doesn’t mind so much when their too-busy-for-snuggling child wants nothing more than to curl up and snuggle in?  heaven (except for the croupy cough of course)!

so, on to more exciting things!

~ i am looking for one or two pregnant women for a fun little maternity photography project i’m working on.  if you (or someone you know) are 30+ weeks pregnant and love the idea of modeling for some stylish, modern maternity portraits, please email me with the following information:

once again, i find myself woefully behind on blog posting.  i think it’s the cold weather slowing me down  it’s been a super busy month and i have so many amazing images to share with you, but i’m heading out of town again – this time to las vegas for a photography convention!

i spent last week on the beautiful beaches of puerto rico with one of my favorite clients ever, documenting their vacation.  we had so much fun and captured so many amazing images.  here are a few non-people images that i took to remind me of the beauty surrounding us and most of all, the WARMTH.  ooooooooh sunshine, how i love thee.

as so many of you already know, our dear friend and downstairs neighbor freckle face has closed it’s doors  – the same doors they threw open for us four years ago when we held our very first portrait day.  we could not have reached out to so many of you without their support in the years since.

the third ward studio located at 244 n broadway will remain open by appointment only.  our bayview studio, front room photography, is open tuesday-friday, 9-5, and is located at 2637 south kinnickinnic avenue (next to honey pie -yum!). you can reach the third ward studio via phone at 414.271.1211 and the bayview studio at 414.294.0080.

on a personal note, i am so very thankful to deanna for believing in me when my business was so young and unrefined.  i’ve learned so much from her and will be forever grateful for what she’s given me:  support, encouragement, opportunities, knowledge and hope.  without her example to aspire to, i don’t think i would have dreamed as big as i did and without that dream, i wouldn’t be where i am.   so thank you, deanna.  for everything.
