i’ve been lucky enough to photograph this little love since he was still in his mama’s tummy and again when he was a tiny squishy sleepy yummy newborn. now look how big he is!

Had the pleasure of doing a newborn session with this beautiful baby girl.

This is the second set of portraits from this recent newborn baby session taken in my studio. Yesterday’s post focused just on baby, while today I’m showing off some with mom and dad. Thank you to the family for giving me the opportunity to photograph your beautiful little boy.
I love, love this first one of all three of them! It shows that newborn photography is more than just capturing the squishy baby, but also capturing the love of the parents for each other and their new child.

This little guy went right to sleep for me and I got some of the classic sleepy, squishy newborn baby portraits that create those memories that come back every time you look at the photograph hanging in your home. I’ll post more tomorrow of baby with mom and dad.

I recently had the privilege of photographing a beautiful newborn for a family I’ve photographed before. I love how squishy babies are the first few weeks of life while they are newborns. It is a time of their life that is never again possible to capture and I’m honored this family welcomed me to document the new addition to their family.

i love love love when clients choose the year in the life collection! it’s 3-4 sessions over the course of a year and i love how well i get to know the family and the children in that time. after the last session, we all sit down and go over all of the images and work on designing an amazing coffee table book that chronicles the year. it’s great to lay out the images and see how much the family has changed.
a lot of families choose this option as a baby’s first year photo plan, but lots of other families take the opportunity to do four different concept sessions. one outside (at a park, in their backyard, an urban session in the third ward), a documentary-style session at home, a birthday party, a cookie decorating day, a pajama party, whatever. i love seeing how creative everyone gets!
here is a sweet little bub that is so cute i want to eat him up. this is his third session in the year in the life collection. we photographed him when he was still cozied up in his mama’s belly, and again when he was a teeny tiny delicious newborn. now look how big he’s getting!

i hope everyone has a wonderful day!!!

i had the absolute pleasure of photographing this yummy little guy at our third ward studio. he was so sweet and slept, well, like a baby!

these two gorgeous parents-to-be visited the studio for maternity portraits and we had SO much fun. i love fun, silly, lively couples. i can’t wait to meet their baby boy in april!

woo! two posts in one day! it must be a record
i was lucky enough to photograph this little guy’s big brother when HE was a newborn. i’ll always remember that session since it was conducted in my bedroom in my little house in bayview! now that the family is settled in wauwatosa, this little newborn was photographed in his own home

big brother aidan

and how sweet and wonderful is this photograph? baby, mom and grandma. all so very beautiful.

i’ve been waiting for MONTHS for baby caroline to arrive so that i could meet her and photograph her! we got off to a slow start, but that was nothing that a space heater couldn’t solve. once she was nice and toasty warm, she fell right into place for those beautifully squishy newborn shots.

and proud big brother
